Shakira’s Waka Waka disaster sends the people of Africa into rage

Shakira left a sour taste in African fans mouths when she messed up big time whilst singing Waka Waka at the Super Bowl.

Mzansi’s Freshlyground collaborated on a song with Shakira in 2010 for the Fifa World Cup which was hosted in South Africa, 'Waka Waka'.

While it was awesome the statement Shakira and Jennifer Lopez made regarding immigrants in the US, African peeps were not pleased about how Waka Waka went down.

Taking a stand against Trump's view on immigrants in the US as the opening act of the Super Bowl is something truly spectacular and something the African people respect greatly. Unfortunately, the Waka Waka mess up could just not be ignored.

Shakira left out the line which fueld the pride of the African people; "This time for Africa". Leaving out that line is to the African people what Trumps says about immigrants in the US to Latino’s living in the US – its soul-destroying.

African people were insulted and enraged. Literally the entire African continent took to social media to express their displeasure. Sis even dressed in traditional African fabrics and still gave Africa zero cred!
