Voters register: JJ Rawlings registers for New Voters' ID at Klottey Korle

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has finally registered for the New voters Identification card, ahead of the 2020 election.

He visited the PWD Maintenance Unit Castle registration centre in the Klottey Korle constituency on Thursday, July 9, 2020, to sign up for a new voters’ identity card.

In a photos sighted by YEN.com.gh, he was accompanied by his daughter and Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle constituency, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings.

His presence drew a large crowd, compelling him to depart the premises soon after obtaining his card.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia had registered and gotten his new voters identification card.

In a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh, the vice president's noted that he exercised his constitutional right to vote by registering for the national voter identity (I.D) card at the Kperiga D/A Primary School polling station in Walewale.

According to him, the process was very smooth and safe.
