News reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that final year students at Ndewura Jakpa Senior High Technical in Damongo have destroyed the school’s properties in an angry protest.

Their actions follow the 1.5 metre social distancing seating requirement in the examination hall which they are strongly against.

In a report filed by Joy News, they first destroyed the lighting system in the school, which plunged the whole campus into complete darkness.

The report further indicated that parts of the ceiling of a newly handed over six unit classroom block were removed.

The rioting students managed to escape without being caught when they sighted vehicles approaching the school.

The Chairman of the West Gonja Municipal Security Council, Saeed Muhazu Jibreal, and the Savannah Regional Minister, Salifu Adam Braimah, who rushed to the school, told Joy News they were disappointed with the development.
