Talented Kidz season eight winner DJ Switch, know in private life as Erica Tandoh, has won at the 2020 Ghana DJ Awards.
DJ Switch was adjudged as the Young DJ Of The Year at the awards ceremony which was held on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
DJ Switch has taken to social media to announce her new award and share photos from the ceremony.
In the photos, the 12-year-old girl was spotted dressed in a yellow outfit while she showed off the plaque she received.
Sharing the photos, DJ Switch had some motivation for her fans to believe in themselves and make historical achievements.
"If you believe in yourself, you’ll have the potential to break barriers & all protocols to set a record and make it 1st in history. Age is never a barrier but a limitation to your mind. The benchmark is far beyond the universe. Much ❤️ to you all and @ghanadjawards," she wrote.
DJ Switch's latest award happens to be the second year in a row that she has been honoured by the Ghana DJ Awards.
In 2019, the young disc jockey was crowned as the Best DJ of the Year, the ultimate award for the scheme.
DJ Switch saw off competition from DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black at the Accra International Conference on Saturday, November 2, 2019, to win.
Her award stirred a lot of controversies as many observers and some of the contenders argued that she was too young for such an award.
DJ Switch came into prominence when she won Talented Kidz in 2017 as a nine-year-old girl and she has never looked back.
