Domelovo: I will return to office on March 3, 2021 after my 167 days leave

The auditor general, Daniel Domelovo has spoken up on his date of resumption after going silent for a while.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on his official Facebook page, he said unlike what people are speculating he would not be resuming his official duties on Monday, January 11, 2021.

According to him, his 167 working days leave would end on March 2, 2021 and will official report to work on March 3, 2021.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo directed the Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelovo to proceed on his annual accumulated leave of 123 days.

His leave took effect from Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Domelevo was expected to hand all work-related documents to his Deputy, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu

The president extended the initial leave by 44 days, making it 167 after . Domelevo wrote a letter to President Akufo-Addo, urging him to reconsider his directive to proceed on his accumulated leave.

Daniel Domelevo, has stated that the directive from the president asking him to proceed on his 123 accumulated leave days is unconstitutional.

His comments have drawn a lot of reactions from Ghanaians

Jibreal Agbesi Hamenoo said he will be counting the days with him.

Abiggie Boozer in a rather sarcastic way said he will need to take his leave in advance for 5 years.
