Actor Waakye regrets campaigning for NPP; says he was frustrated

Veteran actor, Prince Yawson, popularly known as Waakye, has made a passionate confession about his involvement in politics.
Waakye publicly endorsed Akufo-Addo and the NPP in the electioneering campaign in both 2016 and 2020, and even moved out of his sickbed to campaign for them.
However, he has made a quick U-turn and asked Ghanaians to forgive him for that.
According to Waakye, he was moved by frustration to do what he did, adding that he had long been reserved when it comes to taking sides in politics.
He explained that John Mahama’s administration affected his acting career with dumsor and that frustrated him so much.
Waakye is making this confession because he said he has earned many enemies for getting involved in politics.
He was reportedly speaking to MzGee on TV3, according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanapage.com.
The actor wishes Ghanaians would just put the past behind them and forgive him as he is more than frustrated right now.
Waakye surprised many people when he got out of his sickbed to hit the road to convince Ghanaians to vote for the NPP.
He was in the company of movie producer, Socrate Sarfo on the streets to campaign.
