Kind artist gives young creative girl scholarship, vows to make her an expert like her

- A Nigerian artist with the Twitter handle @ceracerni has put a smile on the face of a young creative girl named Eniola

- @ceracerni was painting on the streets when she was approached by Eniola and her mum who wanted her daughter to be encouraged by the paintings

- After having a discussion with the mother and daughter, @ceracerni decided to give the young girl a scholarship to attend her art hub where she would be trained to become an expert

A Nigerian artist identified on Twitter as @ceracerni took to the social media platform to share her encounter with an elderly woman and her daughter.

@ceracerni recounted that she was approached by an elderly woman who works for the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and had been observing her paint on the streets for more than a week.

The elderly woman came with her daughter, a creative young girl named Eniola who has a sketchbook in which she drew a cat.

According to @ceracerni, she was moved when the elderly woman said she had brought her daughter to watch her paint on walls as a way of encouraging her.

In her words:

"I asked the young girl her name, age and why she wasn’t in school. I also flipped through her sketch book and the first thing on the page was a drawing of a cat painted purple and I immediately had a nostalgia... I remembered drawing a cat in my primary school."

After telling the elderly woman about her art hub, she decided that Eniola will be her first scholarship student.

She said:

"We will sponsor her training at the Ceracerni’s ARTHub till she becomes an expert."

In other news, a Nigerian artist with the Instagram handle @debbies_art_ has displayed her creativity by drawing Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala with charcoal pencils.
