Meanwhile, Agya Koo Nimo, the celebrated African ethnomusicologist of palm wine highlife fame, says absolute respect for women made him live long.
Known in real life as Daniel Kwabena Boa, the nonagenarian said he is a firm believer in the “sacredness” of women, thus, they must be “respected.”
Agyapa Koo Nimo made the comments at the sidelines of the maiden StoryFest event in Kumasi, Kasapafmonline reported.
According to him, a man can only understand life by watching with keen interest the life of a woman.
“I don’t know how to cook. It is these women who have fed me all my life. When you have a quarrel with your wife, one thing you should never do is to deprive her of upkeep money. If you refuse to eat her food, you have done yourself a great disservice,” the report quoted him as saying.
Agya Koo Nimo remarried after his first wife passed on. He has been blessed with fifteen children.
