A Ghanaian woman who went viral after she was captured burying her late husband with a live python has disclosed that it was a gift from her hubby to her daughter.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Neat FM, she said that she had to bury the snake with her husband because he was no longer alive to take care of it, debunking claims that he had cheated on her.

There were claims that she buried the snake with her late husband because it supposedly killed him whilst others also said he cheated on her.

Netizens made these assertions after she was spotted with the live python hanging around her neck as pallbearers prepared to carry the remains of her late husband to its final resting place.

In the video that went viral, a voiceover narrating why she embarked on the ritual had claimed the snake bit the tongue of the deceased and that was how he met his untimely death, thus she thought it apt to bury him with what killed him.

Dankwah who first met his wife in 2011 and married her explained that it is difficult to stay with one woman after years of marriage and that she becomes a friend.

He was speaking in an interview with DJ Nyaami of SVTV Africa about his personal, business, and marriage life when he confessed.
