A broadcast journalist with Citi FM/Citi TV, Caleb Kudah, has disclosed how he was physically assaulted after he was arrested by National Security operatives on Tuesday, May 11.
The host of Backpage on Citi TV was arrested for filming some abandoned cars procured by MASLOC that had been parked at the Ministry of National Security for several years.
Narrating his ordeal on The Point of View on Citi TV hosted by Bernard Avle, Kudah revealed that he was detained and interrogated for hours on Tuesday, May 11.
The National Security operatives forced him into a chair, he said.
''They slapped me from the back. I was trying to appeal to them that they had beaten me enough, but they were just slapping me from the back,'' he said.
Following Kudah's arrest, the National Security operatives besieged Citi FM and Citi TV on Tuesday, May 11, in an attempt to arrest Zoe Abu-Baidoo Addo, who Kudah had sent some of the files he captured at the ministry via WhatsApp.
The management of the Ghanaian media house, however, prevented the operatives from capturing Zoe and went along with her to the National Security Ministry where she was interrogated.
Both Kudah and Zoe Abu-Baidoo were released later in the evening on Tuesday.
