Social media users react after Otumfuo's Nkwantakesehene ordered Twene Jonas to apologise to him

US-based Ghanaian vlogger, Twene Jonas, has been trending for the past week after he reportedly insulted Otumfuo.

Twene Jonas mentioned the Asante King whilst blasting Ghanaian chiefs and leaders in his latest rant about galamsey destroying water bodies.

"Even the Asantehene said if you are a chief and give people land to illegally mine in return of goat then it's over to you," he said. In the viral video, he continued that, Ghana everyone is a thief, they don't speak the truth, including the Asantehene," Twene Jonas was heard saying in a video.

"He couldn't speak the truth but if you watch, he has been listening to me now, hence, he has to speak the truth now," he added.

Following that, Otumfuo's Nkwantakesehene in an interview ordered Twene Jonas to apologise to the Asantehene.

However, some social media users took to YEN.com.gh's Facebook page to react to the Nkwantakesehene's statement.

@Osafo A Daniel: "This guy may be speaking the truth but he could say it or criticize without the insults. Those defending can you look in your father's face and use such words on him, even when he is wrong?."

@Yussif Adebayor: "to all Muslims supporting Jonas, what harm fir'awn (ferow ) didn't cuased on earth? but when Allah send anabi Musah (Moses) a. s. to him HE Allah command Moses to talk to him in a polite manner. Meanwhile, Twene Jonas has brushed off a video in which a man was seen cursing him over comments he made about Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

In his usual self-recorded video, Twene Jonas jabbed the person who said he had cursed him and said even the Asantehene was his staunch supporter.

He said it was because of him that the Asantehene said 30% of his own people knew the people responsible for destroying Ghana's water bodies with galamsey activities.
