The Tema Motorway has recorded yet another vehicular accident. This time, a fuel tanker colliding over the slipper road together with a tipper truck filled with sand.

No fatalities have been recorded yet. The accident caused massive traffic along the motorway for hours. Police, the fire service and toll trucks were later on the scene to clear the trucks off the street, quench possible fires from the fuel tanker and ease traffic along the stretch.

A similar accident happened on Friday, June 4, which resulted in the death of a passenger after a tipper truck rammed into a trotro bus on the motor way. The death of the passenger was blamed on the delay of the ambulance service.

Joshua Kwakye, a 24-year-old Ghanaian gentleman has been left by himself in a wretched condition after he was hit by a driver who abandoned him and bolted off.

In a short documentary on Joshua's life by Joy News, it is indicated that he stays at New Achimota and has been in this condition for the past three years.

Joshua suffered the accident on the Legon-Madina highway which left him with a serious spinal cord injury that makes it impossible for him to walk any longer.

It is reported that Joshua was initially taken to the hospital but the bills quickly overwhelmed his family and they have now left him in the basement of a house to survive on his own.

A charity organization that has been supplying Joshua with food and water indicated that the doctor says it will take 80,000 Euros to solve Joshua's spinal problem completely.

According to the 24-year-old, he is always in pain due to the injury as it usually feels as though his bone is coming out of his skin.
