Shortly after her video went viral, Afua Asantewaa’s husband reportedly spoke to Gh Page TV and denied that they were separated.

The owner of the Ghanaian media platform, Rashad, recounted a conversation with Kofi Owusu Aduonum, who reportedly shut down his wife’s claims.

In a sharp rebuttal, Afua Asantewaa slammed her husband for failing to protect her throughout their many years of marriage.

Speaking on a TikTok Live session late on April 1, she said, despite being an experienced journalist with more than 30 years in the media, her husband never spoke up to defend her whenever Ghanaians spread falsehoods about her online.

She added that despite his silence on her negative moments, he was eager to tap into her glory when she contested for the Guinness World Records longest singing marathon.
