Akwatia: Ghanaian Prophet Drops Prophecy On Election, Advises NPP In Video

A popular Ghanaian man of God has stirred reactions with a prophetic declaration on the outcome of the Akwatia by-election on September 2.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on YouTube, Prophet Tabiri shared insights on what had apparently been made known to him in the spiritual realm.

According to him, he foresaw that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) had the upper hand in the election largely because of what the party had done spiritually.

Although he failed to give specifics on what exactly the NDC had done to gain the advantage, he said the NPP had to come up with a countermeasure or lose the seat entirely.

He then admonished the opposition to act on his directive if the party wanted to win the Akwatia seat.

"Every town has a spirit that rules over it; they should appease the spirit in Akwatia," he warned the NPP in the interview.

Constituents of Akwatia, on Tuesday, September 2, thronged the polls to cast their votes to elect the next representative in Parliament after the recent passing of the previous MP, Ernest Yaw Kumi.

The NPP nominated Chief Executive Officer of Owuo Mining Company, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, as its candidate, whereas the NDC nominated lawyer Bernard Bediako Baidoo to represent them.

Prophet Roja speaks on Akwatia by-election

Another famed prophet, Prophet Roja, also well known for his prophecies, noted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would win the by-elections.

"NDC will win the seat. Yeah, I'm asking the NPP to do something; if they don’t, NDC will win the elections hands down. But till now, no one has contacted me, both NDC and NPP," he said.

According to him, he foresaw that the late MP would die, but he was never taken seriously when he publicly spoke about it.

At the time of writing the report, the trending TikTok video had generated over 1,000 likes and comments.

Reaction to prophecy on Akwatia by-election

Social media users who took to the comments section of the video shared varied opinions on the prophetic declaration by Prophet Tabiri on the election.

Yaw Dwarkwaa commented:

"This prophecy leaves much to be desired, but however it turns out, life still goes on. All we ask is that the event is not marred by violence."

Aseda Digital Print opined:

NDC's Sofo Azorka confronts NPP's Chairman Buga

Earlier, YEN.com.gh also reported that the third Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sofo Azorka, had allegedly attacked the NPP's Osman Masamudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga.

A video showed the duo in heated exchanges in Akwatia, with the ruling party member repeatedly hitting Chairman Buga’s chest. The opposition member took the matter lightly but later expressed his outrage.
