Francis Asare said he got scared when he saw his image on social media as a wanted person. He then called his brother to accompany him to the OSP's office.
In a message he sent to Crime Check Ghana, Francis said when they arrived at the Special Prosecutor's office, he was told his identity had been mistaken for another person.
However, his employers had fired him because of the publication. Francis said he has not been the same after losing his job and pleaded for help.
"On 24 July 2024, Rainbow radio posted my picture on social media, saying I am wanted by the Special Prosecutor. I was afraid, so I called my brother to take me there. We went there, and they said it was a mistake and that I was not the right person. Fidelity Bank gave them the wrong information. Because of that, I lost my job, and I went through a mental problem too. Please, I really need your help, please".
