Pique Denies He Is Gay Over Intimate Photo With Ibrahimovic

An off-guard photo of Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and his former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic got many tongues around the world wagging as it went viral.

The ‘intimate’ photo which caught the duo in a strange pose captured a few years ago suggested the two superstars were more than just mere team mates.

Pique, 28, who is married to Colombian singer Shakira, can be seen facing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 34, who is leaning back against a car, and holding him by the hand as they pet like lovebirds.

Pique has decided to spill it all out and explain what happened in the moment the two players were snapped unaware in a carpark after a Barca training session. Zlatan now plays for PSG in the French top flight league.

The Spain player, who was unimpressed with the invasion of their privacy at a time he did not expect it, said: "The photographer was inside the training ground so it could not have been someone from a gossip magazine."

The photo was ‘neatly packaged’ with the rumours of a possible gay romance between the players and circulated far and wide.

The photo was captured by a photographer as far back as 2010, when both players still shared the Barcelona changing room, but it is only now that Pique has decided to explain what had happened.
