Man United Fans Demand Two Players Are Sold After Man City Defeat
- Manchester United were outclassed 3-0 by rivals Manchester City, with Erling Haaland scoring twice after Phil Foden’s opener
- Luke Shaw’s costly error gifted Haaland his second goal, epitomising United’s struggles on a tough afternoon
- Frustrated fans singled out two players, demanding they be dropped after the team collected just four points from four games this season
Manchester United fans are demanding that two players be dropped immediately after their side slumped to a heavy 3-0 defeat against rivals Manchester City.
It was another bruising afternoon for Ruben Amorim’s team, with Phil Foden’s first-half header setting the tone before Erling Haaland struck twice on either side of the break.

United offered little in attack, and their struggles were summed up by Luke Shaw’s misplaced pass straight to Haaland, which allowed the Norwegian to race through unchallenged and double his tally.
There was at least one bright moment after the interval, when Bryan Mbeumo forced a fine save from new City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, as seen in the video below.

However, Amorim’s substitutions in search of a response only left United more disjointed.
City cut through them repeatedly in the final 20 minutes and, with sharper finishing, could easily have inflicted a heavier defeat.
Patrick Dorgu did glance a late header wide for United, but it was a rare chance in an otherwise one-sided contest.
The lacklustre performance left fans fuming, and many took to social media to single out two players in particular for criticism, calling for Amorim to drop them after another dismal outing at the Etihad.

"It’s an absolute disgrace how Luke Shaw has been at the club for over 10 years. Shows everything which is wrong with the club."
@ammandev added:·
"He’ll say all the right things when it suits him, but the fact of the matter is simple: Luke Shaw shouldn’t have been playing at this football club for the past 2 seasons. Move. On."

Per the BBC, Manchester United have now earned just four points from their opening four games, leaving them only two spots higher than last season’s 15th-place finish.
Next up is a crucial clash at Old Trafford against Chelsea next Saturday, a match that could prove pivotal for Ruben Amorim, who has come under severe pressure.
Bruno Fernandes questions Amorim's tactics
After the match, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes gave a definitive response when questioned about his team's tactical setup.
The Portuguese explained how City 'overwhelmed' United's midfield pairing via Sky Sports:
"Because we play with a back five, or sometimes with a four or a three, whatever you want to call it.
"We need people to be very aggressive in the moment of pressure. We need to get the moments of jumping because if not, the midfielders get under load.
"If you look at City, they had Rodri, Tiji [Reijnders], Bernardo coming in, Foden. They make basically a midfield four against a two. So you need the ones in behind you to jump, like Luke [Shaw] was doing very well on Tiji. We did it in the first game against Arsenal, that's why they didn't play. They couldn't find the spaces to play.

Amorim's four rules at Man United
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Amorim has wasted no time in setting firm standards to turn United’s fortunes around.
One of his first directives was to ban overly complex instructions from his coaching staff, insisting that simplicity should come before the delivery of any tactical information.
