Secret tape of minister begging delegates to vote for his favourite candidate leaks

- Upper West Regional Minister has been heard secretly campaigning for a particular candidate in the party's delegate's Congress

- The minister has accepted it is his voice

- The delegates congress ends on Tuesday, April 24th.

A secret tape of the acting Upper West Regional convincing NPP delegates to vote for a particular candidate has been leaked.

In this leaked tape, you will hear the minister begging delegates to vote for one Hafiz Bin Saali and his team.

“Hafiz has been Regional Youth Organiser, First Vice and Second Vice, and politics, you have to reward people who have suffered. Nobody should come and get it easy because they have money,” he said.

Meanwhile, the minister has confirmed he is indeed the voice in that secret tape arguing it was private conversation and not a public statement.

According to the minister, Mr. Saali, the one he was lobbying for has the necessary experience needed for the Chairmanship portfolio.

The NPP is holding its regional delegates congress, from April, 21 to 24 across the 10 regions to elect regional executives that would steer the party’s affairs toward election 2020.
