I’m making more cash, forget popularity – Trigmatic

Popular Ghanaian rapper, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, widely known as Trigmatic, has disclosed that he is not being heard by majority of his fans because he is busy making a lot of money.

Trigmatic, after announcing plans of repositioning his brand this year, has been widely accused by a section of the public for missing from the spotlight and other big shows within the music industry.

The musician, who doubles as a radio presenter, in January this year took to his Facebook page to announced his new showbiz name as “Tiyumba”, meaning ‘Let's love them.’

However, not much has been heard from Tiyumba (Trigmatic), in Ghana music after changing his name.

But in a Kasapafmonline.com report, the musician said his new identity is working for him, since he is attracting new followers and businesses.

The report further stated that the versatile artiste has been playing several corporate shows, at least once every week, which has kept him busy although not much publicity is made for such events.

"I mean there is no festival that I’ve been to and not been paid for, for instance the last collaboration which is just last year, it was good, and I went with nine people, but it doesn’t make you popular," the musician was quoted.

Trigmatic, now Tiyumba, also admitted that the new path he is chatting does not make one popular as most entertainment shows would, since they are private events.

“That I must admit, it’s a lonely path but with regards to it being paid, I think it has, I think I’ve played every corporate gig, and these gigs are not public,” he added.

He also mentioned that he has played some notable shows, including the SWAG awards, the Presidential Balls among others.
