Takoradi kidnapping saga: 17-year-old boy missing for three days found dead

A 17-year-old boy who was last seen three days ago has been found dead, YEN.com.gh has gathered.

A report YEN.com.gh monitored on UTV indicated that the boy, Eugene Kwaku Gyamenah, a form three pupil of the Bishop Assuah JHS in Takoradi went missing on Wednesday, January 23.

Initially, it had been assumed that the found missing person was one of the three girls who are still missing after being kidnapped by a Nigerian suspect but it turned out that this case was an entirely different one.

According to UTV's correspondent, the boy returned from school on Wednesday and went out after changing his uniform.

He, however, failed to return leading the parents to go and check on him at his school on Thursday where they were not could find him.

The school's headmistress then accompanied the parents to the Takoradi Central Police station to report the matter.

Just a day after their report, Eugene was found dead at Monkey Hills, a forest reserve in the Takoradi area. An examination of the deceased's body revealed no cut.

While Eugene may not have been lucky the Ho District Police Command has rescued a 17-year-old senior high school student after she was kidnapped by unknown persons.

According to reports, the young lady, a student of the Sunrise Senior High School had gone missing on Monday, January 21, 2019.

She was reportedly kidnapped after boarding a taxi around the Ho SSNIT housing flats in the Volta region.
