Former football club supporters of Michael Essien beg him to return

Fans of Michael Essien's former club Persib Bandung have called for his return to the club.

Persib Bandung fans have shown massive love for the Ghanaian international as they want him to return to the pitch in the club's jersey.

On Thursday, March 14, 2019, Essien shared a lovely portrait of himself in Perisb jersey to wish his former club a happy birthday.

However, the club’s fans on seeing Essien’s post took to the comment section to call for his return.

The club fans didn’t only call for his return but they revealed how much they had missed him.

Essien spent one season with the Indonesian side where he played 29 games and scored 5 goals.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported how Essien was honoured in Azerbaijan by Sabail FC.

Essien was at the Bayil Arena Stadium in Baku two weeks ago and met players of the top-flight side to motivate and inspire them.
