Kofi Kingston set to return to Ghana after 25 years

Reigning WWE champion Kofi Kingston is set to return to Ghana after his historic win.

Kofi, who was born in Kumasi but moved to the United States of America (USA) will be returning to Ghana after 25 years.

The Wrestler made his intention known in a Facebook post which has been sighted by YEN.com.gh.

In the post, Kofi said his mother sent him a victory video and he is happy his win has touched many lives.

He also revealed that the last time he was in Ghana was 25 years.

However social media users have congratulated him for making the nation proud.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how Kofi stunned the world to become WWE champion.

Over 11 years after making his debut in WWE, Kofi defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.

He thus became the second African American (following Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and first African native to hold WWE’s signature title.
