The Swedru District police commander, Superintendent Seth Panti Yirenkyi, said after returning home, the deceased decided to take some rest under a tree near their house.

According to a report by Ghananewsagency.com, the suspect took a machete and headed towards where his brother was lying to confront him over a previous argument.

Superintendent Yirenkyi went on to say that, the deceased suddenly raised his head only to see his brother coming with the machete, and sensing danger, took to his heels.

Annan however chased and slashed him on the head, leading to profuse bleeding.

Botchwey was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital and Annan is currently in police custody assisting in investigations.
