Dixcove chief abducted; rival chief suspected

The Western Regional Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of the Paramount Chief of Lower Dixcove, Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX.
According to GraphicOnline reports the chief is alleged to have been abducted by a rival chief over boundary issues.
A relative of the chief said the abductors used dynamite to destroy the heavily built gate leading to his house which gave them access to carry out their operations.

The abductors were also said to have damaged some items at the palace and the transformer in the community, resulting in a total blackout in the area.
The operation which started around 2 am Monday, July 22, 2019, lasted a little over 30 minutes.
Distress calls made to the Agona-Nkwanta and other security agencies could not yield results at the time, but the police later discovered him at the camp of the assailants.
The police rescue team led by the Western Regional Police Commander, R. Dedjoe, managed to take custody of the abducted Paramount Chief.

In other news, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communications team, Padmore Baffour Agyapong, has described John Mahama as the worst President in Ghana’s history.
According to him, Mahama is yet to recover from the disgraceful loss he suffered during the 2016 general elections. “Mahama is yet to wake up to the fact that he lost.
He’s resorted to complaining about everything,” Mr. Baffour Agyapong said on Net2 TV.
