The veteran Ghanaian preacher shared the account during a sermon at his church, telling congregants that the experience lasted one hour and 45 minutes.

Duncan-Williams said he was removed from his body by an angel and shown things he described as extraordinary. Among the most vivid was a scene on a high mountain where the grass appeared to shimmer like diamonds.

"I went there for 1 hour 45 minutes. I was taken out of my body to heaven. I saw some very interesting things. One of the things I saw was that an angel took me to a high mountain and the grass was like diamonds," he recounted.

Duncan-Williams' encounter with Elder Saki in heaven

The archbishop went on to describe a personal moment during the encounter when he met a man he identified as Elder Saki, whom he described as one of the spiritual fathers who had previously prayed for him.

According to Duncan-Williams, an angel asked whether he recognised anyone in the vicinity, to which he responded that he did. Elder Saki then approached him, addressed him by his first name, and presented him with a pass to return to his body.

"While I was standing there, one of the fathers that brought me out in prayer, Elder Saki, the angel said to me, 'Do you know anybody here?' and I said yes. He drove on this beautiful grass and came to see me," he shared.

Duncan-Williams added that Elder Saki arrived in a striking white car that gleamed like diamonds. He explained that the vehicle carried particular significance because it had apparently been something Elder Saki longed for during his lifetime.

"He was driving a beautiful white car that shone like diamonds. Apparently, that was his dream car when he was on earth, so he got it in heaven," the archbishop said.

Duncan-Williams' message to his congregation

Closing the account, Duncan-Williams used his experience to encourage members of his congregation to remain attentive to spiritual direction. He suggested that obedience to the Holy Spirit could open the door to similar encounters for others.

"If you follow the instructions of the Spirit, some people will have an encounter to go to heaven. You won't die, but you will go to heaven and see heaven, then you come back," he said.
