Chiefs in the Volta Region praise Akufo-Addo over his exploits

- Chief of Dzodze Fiagbedu, has expressed appreciation to the NPP following efforts in ensuring better prospects for their communities

- The sub-chiefs and queen mothers of the Dzodze Traditional Council showed praises on President Nana Akufo-Addo when they paid a courtesy call on him at the Jubilee House

- They particularly mentioned the NPP's 1D1F programme as a laudable feat

The Dzodze Traditional Council has commended President Akufo-Addo for his strong leadership and his willingness to transform their communities.

On Tuesday, September 18, 2019, chiefs, queen mothers and other members of the Dzodze Traditional Council paid a courtesy call on the President at the Jubilee House.

Led by the Chief of Dzodze Fiagbedu, Togbe Dey III, the contingent thanked the President for the projects he has started in their communities.

Mr. President, we are here to inform you that we are seeing transformation in our communities. We are seeing transformation in the lives of our people, and that we are sensing a brighter future for our children and the generations yet unborn,” Togbe Dey III said.

He said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has chalked incredible and remarkable successes since assuming office.

We are very grateful. We have seen renewed effort by your Excellency at actualizing the Keta Harbour Project, and the Ketu South-Berekuso Sea Defense Project,” he added

Togbe Dey III also expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for improving the lives of farmers in the Dzodze community.

He pointed to the Planting for Food and Jobs programme and the One District One Factory as policies that deserve commendation.

Today the lives of our farmers are being transformed through your Planting for Food and Jobs Programme. What is even more is the fact that you promised to put up an Ultra Mordern Warehouse Facility to help manage post-harvest loses that has been the bane of our farmers over the years.

“…you promised us One District, One Factory. Today we at the Ketu North Municipality are at an advanced stage, and are ready for take-off. We are very enthused about the prospects of this project and cannot wait to see it happen,” the Chief added.

On regional peace, Togbe Dey III praised the President for his role in resolving the Dagbon conflict and restoring peace.
