Former president John Dramani Mahama has missed his chance, there is no comeback for him again, this is what the former national security advisor Brigadier (rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah thinks of the NDC flag bearer’s chances of winning the 2020 polls.
Brigadier (rtd) Nunoo-Mensah intimated that Mahama is a goner and has lost the trust and faith of Ghanaians.
He also noted that the former president lost to Akufo-Addo in 2016 because of the personnel he surrounded himself with.
The retired soldier says the Mahama has too many incompetent people around him.
Nunoo-Mensah said John Mahama should have kept the competent team the late President Atta Mills left for him but instead he decided to do otherwise.
“He [Mahama] is no longer the President; his time is passed . . . Opportunity knocks but once, if you miss it, it is difficult to get it back."
"Mills (late) surrounded himself with one of the best teams in the world . . . competent men at the top of their professions and removing them from office affected Mahama’s administration. If you have a good team, it makes your work very easy . . . I don't know how to lie but that was one of the reasons he lost the election," he added.
