A 50-year-old South African man, Gobela Faniyakhe who hails from Umhlabuyalingana at Northern KZN has caused a massive stir by marrying six women in one ceremony.
Adomonline.com reports that the current number was supposed to be eight but two of the women indicated to him that they were not yet ready.
The ladies' man further affirms that he would add the two later during the year. According to the 50-year-old, the ultimate dream is to have 14 wives which he is working towards and would be able to achieve this in the near future.

Gobela goes on to say that he spent a whopping GHC 250k on the wedding with the six women whose names and ages are Sibongile Zikhali (49), Hloniphile Ndlanzi (26), Celiwe Ndlanzi (26), Nikiwe Khumalo (38), Thandi Khumalo (30) and Zanele Shabalala (49).
According to the rich man, all the six wives together with their 21 children would reside with him and in the same house.
Hloniphile, one of the youngest of the wives who is 26, spoke in an interview saying, “We were excited when baba broke the news to us [about the marriage]. We couldn’t wait for the big day and thank our ancestors the function went well"
As for the sleeping arrangements with his wives, the man said he doesn’t have a timetable. “No one knows where I’m going to sleep, so I keep them guessing. I do this so none one of the wives cheats. They all expect my knock,” Gobela said.
While on the subject of a person having multiple partners, Popular Ghanaian counsellor Rev Mrs Charlotte Oduro has cautioned ladies strongly against having two partners, describing women who engage in that act as having a shaky future.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Instagram handle of Facts and Truths, the renowned counsellor explained that many ladies choose to date more than one guy for their own selfish reasons.
According to Charlotte, those ladies do not actually love the men they date but only stay with them, trying to study and pick who will take care of them better.
