A man in his late 30s has contracted the killer COVID-19 virus after he went on a secret vacation with his mistress.
The man whose name is being withheld confessed to health officials in England how he picked up the coronavirus.
He and his girlfriend went on a secret trip to Italy, where he caught the virus.
He presented himself to a hospital on return with coronavirus symptoms and tests revealed he had contracted the COVID-19 disease.
The man told doctors who attended to him that he had an affair with a woman who he refused to name.
Meanwhile, his wife is said to be self-isolating in their plush home in North England. She is, however, unaware how her husband caught the virus, thesun.co.uk reported.
Meanwhile, the spread of the disease continues in Europe, America and now Africa.
The new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to eight.
Also, Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway told Parliament that three Ghanaian nationals have died in Europe from the disease.
She said two of the deceased lived in Italy, while the other lived in Denmark.
The World Health Organisation had declared Europe, the new epicentre of the pandemic with Italy recording the highest number of cases in that region.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, John Dumelo, has described President Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP government as “shambolic”.
The actor-turned-politician has been on a serious door-to-door campaign in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
