FDA approves Elikem Kumordzie's customised face mask which will cost GHC 25 (photo)

Ghanaian celebrity tailor, Elikem Kumordzie, has received approval from the Food and Drugs Authority to produce his 'The Tailor’s Face Mask' to be used by the general public.

Announcing the approval on Instagram, Elikem Kumordzie said people can now start buying his face masks because it is FDA approved.

The Food and Drugs Authority recently updated the list of authorized homemade face masks, face shields and protective gowns and Elikem’s products were a part of that list.

In an Instagram post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Elikem Kumordzie said his 'The Tailor’s Face Mask' which has an adjustable nose rod and open vent to insert filtration pad goes for GHC 25.

Captioning the photo, Elikem Kumordzie said: "SAY HELLO TO THE NEW COLOURS FDA approved face MASKS."

The initiative by the FDA to approve locally made face masks is to ease the pressure on the government providing face masks and protective gear for the entire nation.

The FDA has urged the public to go by the recommended three-layered face masks to effectively help in curbing the spread of COVID-19.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Addi Self, a member of the Shatta Movement Militants has flaunted the mansion he is building.

Though he did not disclose where exactly the mansion is located, it is a big achievement for the young musician.

In a photo sighted by YEN.com.gh, the singer was seen standing in front of his walled uncompleted mansion which appeared to be a four-bedroom house.
