Captain Smart, known in private life as Godsbrain Smart, is leaving Adom FM and the Multimedia Group and it is no rumour.

The Adom FM Dwaso Nsem morning show host has confirmed the news on his show on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

On the show, Captain Smart bid farewell to his colleagues and listeners and even had a send-off party thrown for him.

A video and photos from the send-off party have popped up online showing the veteran broadcaster dressed in white.

Standing in the studio with other colleagues, Captain Smart could be seen cutting a cake as part of his send-off.

One of the people around helped him to have a bite of the piece of cake after the cutting. Captain Smart later asked thanked his listeners for being with him for "seven solid years."

Photos from the brief ceremony also showed Captain Smart sitting in front of the send-off cake inside his studio while he smiled for the camera.

The send-off party comes after days of rumours over the future of Captain Smart at Adom FM. There had been initial reports of him tendering in his resignation letter but it was confirmed until now.
