A woman has been ridiculed by netizens for packing her husband's lunch before he goes to work every morning.

The wife shared her story on social media and fans were quick to attack her on how she runs her household.

The woman shared a photo of her husband's packed lunch in an Australian budgeting group on Facebook sparking a heated argument.

The tin contained homemade spread, which included sandwiches, an assortment of cheese, crackers and sausage and pieces of fruits.

According to the woman, it is cheaper and healthier to have homemade lunch than the takeaway available at the hubby's workplace.

The post attracted a huge following with many slamming the woman for her actions with many saying she was "treating her husband like a child".

Others took the moment to defend the caring woman after the administrator advised critics to mind their own business and respect how people run their homes.

"No more comments about whether you agree or disagree with packing your significant other's lunch for them," said the moderator.

In one of the comments, a lady revealed that her mom still packs snacks and lunches for her father who drives long distances to work in a coal mine.

Others showed support by sharing photos of the lunches they make for their partners, including one woman who writes affectionate messages on the lid of her husband's lunchbox every morning.
