Legendary Ghanaian boxer Azumah Nelson has confirmed reports that he played a key role in helping Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong acquire his first house in Ghana.

Kennedy Agyapong had earlier disclosed that Azumah Nelson helped him to purchase his first house in Ghana.

But in an interview on YFM and monitored by YEN.com.gh, Azumah Nelson confirmed the report saying that Kennedy Agyapong is not the only one he has helped.

‘’I remember this; he is not the first person I have helped. Whatever I can do to make you happy, I will gladly do it. I will do my best to put a smile on your face,’’ Azumah Nelson stated

Azumah said he takes delight in helping people and making them happy.

The "Boxing Professor" reigned for over a decade as a world champion in the WBC featherweight and super featherweight division.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Ghanaian defender, Samuel Inkoom has praised Cameroonian retired professional footballer, Samuel Eto’o for saving his career.

According to Samuel Inkoom, at a time when his career at Boavista in Portugal was hitting the rocks, Samuel Eto’o offered him a deal with his team, Antalyaspor.

In an interview on Joy Sports and monitored by YEN.com.gh, Inkoom said when things got rough Eto'o called him on the phone and brokered a deal for Inkoom to join his team.
