A video has surfaced online showing an incident that reportedly occurred at the Baba Kompo Registration Centre in the Asawase Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The footage sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Twitter handle of Ghana Crimes showed a man angrily holding a pistol at a police officer and being calmed down by army officers.

This generated a great debate as it appeared on the surface as though it was any average Ghanaian who by some means came by a pistol and decided to put up a show.

In that case, the Ghana Armed Forces officials present would have been expected to act quickly and seize the man with force instead of beseeching on him to quit his ploy.

However, it turns out that the police officer was the bodyguard of the member of parliament at the constituency where this occurred.

It is reported that the man who held the gun is a member of the national security but investigations are still underway regarding the entire incident.
