University of Ghana Law School valedictorian, April Amanda Nutakor, has detailed how she graduated from the university with a 3.8+ GPA.

Amanda made history when she became the first law student to graduate from the University of Ghana (UG) with a 3.8+ GPA since 2012.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Amanda is one of seven other students who completed their programme at the University of Ghana with a first class in 2020.

Speaking about how she chalked this academic milestone, Amanda, noted that being smart is not enough. She emphasised that organisation is key to clinching such laudable grades.

Amanda reveals, among many other things, that she found a way to combine her studies with her hobbies. She said:

''For me personally, I wasn’t just studying. I have a lot of hobbies. Law demands a lot of time but you have to be dedicated. I was just able to organise my study time and then my personal, hobbies and fun activities.''

According to her, she was able to organise her hobbies and extra curricular activities, including being the committee head of the Law Students Union of UG.

Amanda adds that she loves travelling and has actually been to every region in Ghana. Amanda’s father is a Ghanaian from the Volta Region and her mum is from Crimea, which is now part of Russia.
