The flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has challenged president Akufo-Addo to debate with respect to infrastructural development in each of their governments.
Mahama stated that he is ready to present himself for a debate anytime, any day should he be called upon it.
His challenge comes after Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s data-driven presentation on August 18, 2020, on infrastructural achievements of the NPP.
“I am willing to present myself for a debate with President Akufo-Addo any day, anytime, anywhere. And we will settle the matter once and for all,” he said.
He made this known while addressing residents in the Ketu South constituency as part of his tour of the Volta Region, myjoyonline.com reports.
Government during its Townhall meeting said it had initiated the 17,334 infrastructural projects since 2017, in line with the NPP’s pledge to improve the infrastructural prowess of the country as stipulated in the party’s manifesto in the lead-up to the 2016 election.
In other news, former President John Dramani Mahama has stated that when he is voted back into office small businesses would not be paying any tax.
He said it these small companies will be completely exempted from corporate income tax.
He made this known while addressing the leadership of organised labour and professional groups at the Ho Technical University on Wednesday, 19 August 2020 as part of his campaign tour of the Volta region.
