NDC man takes life of brother who supports NPP over political argument

An alleged supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly taken the life of his New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter brother over an argument.

According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on celebritiesbuzz, the victim, Ezudeen Awal believed to be in his 30s was stabbed to death by his biological brother.

The incident is said to have happened at Suame in the Ashanti Region on Monday, December 14, 2020, at around 11 pm.

The suspect identified only as Amidu, is said to have committed the dastardly act following their argument about the differences in their political affiliations.

A sister of the two brothers, Aisha, narrated the incident to Pure FM and revealed that there had been some sort of bad blood between the two but it had been resolved by elders in the family.

The two were since reported to be living in their family house at Suame in peace.

Aisha went on to recount that Amidu and Awal had some misunderstanding after the declaration of the 2020 elections.

The lady added all their family members with the exception of Awal are NDC supporters therefore the declaration of Akufo-Addo as president-elect created some friction.

Amidu, during a heated debate with his brother stabbed him.

The suspect has been arrested by Suame Police Command and is assisting with investigations.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Member of Parliament-elect for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has told NDC party faithful to act wisely when they are asked by the party to hit the streets to protest.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh, the lawmaker said the supporters when asked to protest should compare their skins to those of Mahama’s kids before taking any step.

He went on to ask such staunch party supporters to weigh how much they will receive at the end of the day after they have caused unrest in the country and see if the amount is worth the stress.
