The 2020 edition of Atinka TV's Di Asa, a dance reality show for plus size ladies, has come to a close.
At the grand finale held on Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Grand Arena of the Accra Conference Centre, Dee Baby emerged as the winner.
Dee Baby who represented Tamale in the Northern region won over four others namely Fafa (Aflao, Volta), Naa Dollar (Greater Accra), Maame (Kumasi, Ashanti) and Amonor (Kasoa).
While Fafa was the first runner-up, Maame and Naa Dollar tied for the second runner-up position while Amonor was the fourth runner-up.
For her prize, Dee Baby got a brand new Hyundai Accent car, a brand new popcorn machine, a sum of money, and other items.
The second runner-up, Fafa, also took home a mini truck (popularly known as Abossey Okai macho), among cash and other items.
Maame and Naa Dollar took home tricycles, cash, and other items each with Amonor also taking home a cash prize.
The grand finale started with 14 contestants who were whittled down to five finalists after many rounds of competition.
In total, 48 dancers started the competition with 34 getting evicted from the show over the previous weeks before the grand finale.
Aside from the entertaining performances from the dancers, there were thrilling musical performances.
Highlife star and 2020 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene shook the venue with his thrilling and dynamic contemporary highlife music and dance.
Wendy Shay also got the crowd moving and turned the whole show into a party when she stormed the stage earlier.
Dope Nation as well came through as the surprise artiste and gave their fans the best.
In other reality TV news, Kweku Bany has won the 2020 edition of TV3 Mentor.
The rapper from the Western region was crowned at the final on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
He won ahead of Ayeyi, Semenhyia, and Netty who also made the finals
