3 police men and 3 others facing the law for allegedly killing and burying a suspect

Three police officers have been remanded for torturing, killing, and burying a 48-year-old suspect who was in their custody.
The three police personnel and three others tortured the suspect, Abu Bukari Gbahara at the Seikwa police station in the Bono Region.
The cops are Constable Ebenezer Akuffo, 24; Corporal Williams Akussung, 38 and 48-year-old Chief Inspector Eric Aforo.
In a report filed by theghanareport, the three police officers who were stationed at Seikwa police station were helped by three others, Reuben Obeng 22, Aaron Abbey, 21, both security guards, and Emmanuel Ofori Kingsford, 59, a banker at Nkoranman Rural Bank

According to the report, on April 16, 2021, at about 6 pm, the deceased was arrested after Emmanuel Ofori, the bank manager, reported him for damages caused to the rear windscreen of his vehicle.
Abu allegedly resisted and was subjected to beatings before he was handed to the police, where the beatings also continued and he was later cuffed to a pillar.
On Saturday, April 17, at around 12:10 noon, Abu reportedly collapsed and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital
His body was taken and buried at a public cemetery since he was assumed to be a pauper with none of his relatives immediately known.
On April 18, the police exhumed the body of Abu realising that they had breached procedures, and deposited it at the morgue.
Meanwhile, Corporal Williams Akussung and Chief Inspector Eric Aforo denied any involvement in the alleged torture.
