Elvis Frimpong, popularly known as Osanju, was reported dead on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the age of 30.
According to reports, Osanju fell ill on the night of Sunday, August 31, and he was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment, where he passed away upon arrival.
His death came as a surprise to many, as he had shared a video earlier that night speaking about Barcelona’s disappointing draw with Rayo Vallecano.
Osanju’s cause of death has not been disclosed, but a close friend said days before his passing, Osanju, who suffered from leukaemia, complained of pains in his hand due to clotting.
His death occurred months after his mother, Veronica Frimpong, popularly known as Amonu, passed away in January.
Below is a TikTok video of Osanju announcing his mother's death.
Osanju speaks about death
After Osanju's mother’s death, the TikTok star addressed her loss in an interview.
He said that while he was mourning, he was not feeling as grief-stricken as people expected him to be.
Osanju said that was because of his belief about death, which he saw as a state of peace.
“When I saw my mother was dead, I saw it as her being more at ease than myself, who is alive. My study of the bible has taught me that when someone dies, it is as if they are asleep. When someone dies, that person ceases to exist. You go back to the state you were in before you were born, you don't feel anything, you don't feel pain,” he said.
The TikToker also spoke about how he would like to pass and how his family should handle his burial.
Osanju’s mature words about death have resurfaced following his tragic passing, sparking conversations on social media.
