Ghanaian politician Sarah Adwoa Safo, who is currently mourning her late father, Apostle Kwadwao Safo Kantanka, recently got to meet one of her nephews, Jayden.

Jayden is the only child of actress Juliet Ibrahim and the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka's son, Kwadwo Safo Jr. The couple was married for four years, between 2010 and 2014.

14-year-old Jayden arrived with his mum, Juliet Ibrahim, to commiserate with his extended family members as they mourn their loss.

As tradition demands, guests must exchange greetings with the bereaved family on their arrival.

Adwoa Safo and Kwadwo Safo Jr, her brother, were seated close to each other when Juliet Ibrahim and her family arrived.

She led the way while her son followed. Jayden encountered a light-hearted moment when she got her auntie Adwo Safo.

The former Dome Kwabenya MP asked Jayden whether he knew and remembered her. The young boy appeared shy as he smiled lightly and shook hands with Adwoa Safo at the family gathering.

Adwoa Safo was one of the first to confirm the death of her father, the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. In a statement published on social media, the former parliamentarian said,

Our dearest Father passed away peacefully on Thursday 11th September, 2025. Romans 14:8 states; “For if we live, we live to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord. Apostle Safo was a true genius, the beacon of hope for many, a father to the fatherless. Ghana has indeed lost a gallant son and a true legend."

Akufo-Addo eulogises the late Kantanka

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had visited the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka's residence to commiserate with the family.

His entourage, comprising Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin and former Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare, was welcomed with cheers as they arrived at the late Kantanka's home.

At the residence, Akufo-Addo opened up about his personal relationship with Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, recounting how he came to represent him as his personal lawyer years earlier.
