The former Guinness World Record singathon attemptee fuelled the speculation after sharing a video describing her ideal man as someone tall, attractive, and young; attributes netizens described as absent from her husband’s appearance.

Since then, the media personality has cryptically addressed the divorce rumours without giving a definitive answer, using the attention it generates to enhance her profile.

Afua Asantewaa confirms marital issues

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Afua Asantewaa appeared to confirm her separation from her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, for the first time, sparking a social media frenzy.

In a TikTok live session with the popular man of God, Prophet Fire Oja, she said she and her husband had not officially divorced but had separated for undisclosed reasons, which she described as a ‘good cause’.

"I am not divorced. We are separated for a good cause, and I am gradually healing. It is not any big deal,” she told Fire Oja.

Afua Asantewaa’s husband responds to separation claim

On Wednesday, April 1, Rashad, the founder of popular Ghanaian media platform GhPage, contacted Afua Asantewaa’s husband to respond to his wife’s claims.

Rashad alleged that they spoke off the record and shared details of his conversation with Kofi Owusu Aduonum.

The media personality said Afua Asantewaa’s husband denied any claims of being divorced or separated and asked the public to dismiss any reports to the contrary.
