A white man, Tim Hirschel-Burns, narrated how a man from Benin, Anicet, offered him free accommodation and hospitality when he visited his country.

As a mark of gratitude, the American planned for Anicet to visit the US so that he could spend some time abroad and enjoy.

When the Beninoise man applied for a tourist visa to America, Tim signed a document to show that he was willing to cover all his travel expenses.

Tim became sad that he was rejected despite Anicet waiting eight months for his visa interview.

In a lengthy Twitter (X) thread, the American man said the US embassy always assumed that those on tourist visas would never return to their home countries. His rejection came after paying a $185 (N141,458.40) visa application fee.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a lady's American visa application was approved in two days without having to present documents.

The lady (@thatgirlcalledlois) was surprised that the application only took two days, and she was given a 10-year visa without hassle.
