Suzzy Pinamang, the Ghanaian Senior High School student who survived a tragic shooting accident that left her with a severe eye injury, has shared a positive update on her situation.

In the video spotted by YEN.com.gh, the schoolgirl, currently in London, successfully underwent a medical review and has been given the go-ahead to resume her studies.

The medical review was done at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London between September 10 and 16, 2025. Her doctor expressed his delight with her progress just over three months after her operation in early June 2025.

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that following the unfortunate firearm incident, Suzzy was flown to the United Kingdom for specialised treatment.

All of the expenses incurred by the young girl and her family were footed by Ghanaian business mogul and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama.

The medical review carried out confirmed that Suzzy is quickly responding to treatment and showing significant improvement in her vision and overall healing. The doctor also added that Suzzy has been a 'brave girl' and is exceeding all expectations.

According to him, she is now able to do things on her own and should be able to hit the ground running back in school.

He said:

"She's seen great improvement. I'm very happy with it. I mean, I think she's done so much better than we all expected, so... and you can see with the big smile on her face, she's doing everything on her own now, she's gone back to school, and I'm sure she's going to do very well in her studies."

The doctors at the medical facility advised her to continue the routine checkups and always have protective care to ensure long-term recovery.

The best news, however, came when the doctors cleared her to resume schooling. The Ibrahim Mahama Global Foundation has already pledged to sponsor her education.

Suzzy herself also expressed her gratitude to God for her successful surgery. The doctors had initially informed her family that the medical operation had a "50/50" chance of success.

She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Ghanaian philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama for financing her entire treatment.

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that Suzzy Pinamang's family organised a heartfelt Thanksgiving service to express gratitude for the restoration of her sight.

The event, held at their local church, celebrated Suzzy’s recovery after suffering serious eye injuries.

During the emotional service, Suzzy’s mother took the opportunity to publicly thank Ibrahim Mahama and his aide, Rafik Mahama, for their pivotal roles in her daughter's recovery, which has culminated in the young lady resuming her studies.
