The timing is particularly auspicious as it coincides with the traditional Awukudae celebration.

During this grand gathering, the former Chief Justice, who will then be known by her stool name, Nana Abena Boafoa Akuffo, will be formally presented to the reigning monarch, His Royal Majesty Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III.

The Akuffo family has extended an open invitation to all descendants and members of the public to witness this historic occasion.

The appointment of Justice Sophia Akuffo as Mmrahene is seen as a fitting tribute to her decades of legal service, effectively bridging her career in the highest courts of the land with a traditional role dedicated to law and custom within the Akuapem State.
