It is yet to be ascertained if the man in uniform was indeed a police officer. However, the incident seemed to have been planned since the taxi which the policeman jumped into after taking the cash could not have been waiting there by coincidence.
This daylight robbery incident adds up to the alarming number of robbery cases that have been reported in the country in the last couple of weeks.
The police have however been on high alert and have managed to make some arrests in connection with the escalated security threats that have beleaguered some parts of the country.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has however, assured the citizenry of bringing the perpetrators of the recent robbery attacks to book.
In line with this, he has directed for funds to be released to enable the security forces fight the menace.
