The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), which took place on Saturday, April 14, came with the usual highs and lows usually associated with such events.
The Masters of Ceremony (MCs) for the night, Berla Mundi and John Dumelo, had their fair share of ‘attacks’ from a cross-section of Ghanaians for a myriad of reasons.
One of the highlights of the event was the suit worn by rising Ghanaian musician, Patapaa for the event.
His choice, which made him the object of mockery for days after the event became a topical issue for discussion, as many perceived it as oversized.
Patapaa wore the blue colored suit to the VGMAs, and went ahead to wear the same outfit at the VGMAs Celebration Jam.
He thrilled fans with his performance at the Independence Square as the fans danced to his hit song and his latest ‘Akwaaba’ track in which he featured Mr. Eazi and Pappy Kojo.
He has however revealed some details about the suit. According to a report by 3news.com, he stated that it is referred to as ‘Coat Vien.’
Patapaa has however revealed that he is prepared to take Ghana music to a new level in 2018.
He believes that taking his music to the next level in 2018 will get his fans enthused and excited and he is hopeful this will help strengthen his fan base, the Pa2Pa Soldiers.
