- Afia Schwarzenegger has said John Mahama became president to enrich himself
- Afia said nobody becomes president to genuinely help the nation
- She also claims she campaigned not for the NDC as a whole but for John Mahama
Loud mouthed TV and radio personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has revealed that former President Mahama only enriched himself with Ghana’s money when he was president.
According to her, though she has taken the former president as her father, she won’t deny the fact that he only came to amass wealth and spend Ghana’s money.
Afia was however quick to add that despite ‘chopping’ Ghana’s money, John Mahama ensured that he developed the various sectors of the country.
She explained that nobody becomes president to genuinely help the country, and that was the case of John Mahama.
“No politician in Ghana contest for the interest of the people in the country but they rather go into power to enrich themselves and their families.”
“Do you people think we have a politician who is coming to do well for the country…? They are all there to enrich themselves,” Afia alleged.
This is contained in an interview sighted by YEN.com.gh on Zionfelix.com.
Afia disclosed that she is also not an NDC member as it is widely known, rather he is a loyalist to the former president for which reason she campaigned for him as a flagbearer and not the NDC as a whole.
“I’m not in any political party and didn’t campaign for any NDC party but I rather campaign for my father Mahama,” Afia reportedly said.
Born Valentina Afia Agyeiwaa, Afia Schwar’s revelation may seem to be a huge blow on John Mahama’s reputation.
Not just his reputation but also on his 2020 bid to regain power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Afia was in the news recently following her claim that the tribe which has capable men when it comes to bed plays is Fante.
Afia was also in the news for claiming that her marriage with her 'ex-husband' Abrokwa was a fake one with a fake certificate.
Her marriage with Abrokwa hit the rocks somewhere in September last year and the case is still in court.
