Former Black Stars defender John Paintsil was arguably one of the most popular Ghanaian footballers during his playing days.

In a career which spanned over 17 years (1999-2016), Paintsil established himself as the number one right-full back for the Black Stars for most of his playing years.

While he was quite popular and one of the first names to expect on the squad list of the Black Stars during his playing days, Paintsil has been very quiet since retiring.

But for few the times that he has appeared on TV as a football pundit, one could say Paintsil is not in the limelight unlike many of his compatriots who live quite flashy lives.
