Ayawaso West by-election: One person shot dead and others injured (Video)
- One person has been shot dead at the on-going by-election in Ayawaso West Wuogon
- He was shot dead by suspected gunmen with several others sustaining injuries
A shooting incident has occurred at the Bawaleshie residence of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) candidate, Delali Kwasi Brempong, in the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency bye-election.
According to eye witnesses, some gunmen, alleged to be members of the Invincible and Delta Forces, shot at sympathisers of the NDC who were readying to cast their ballots at the various polling stations.
These gunmen had covered their faces with masks.

According to GraphicOnline, two bullet shells were seen with blood stains outside the residence of Brempong where some irate persons were being calmed by the Police.
Seven persons are reportedly injured with one person who sustained severe injuries rushed to the 37 military hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police personnel at the scene have declined to comment on the matter.
